Want to stay behind the scenes but are passionate about both animals and your community? This is a great opportunity for you! We are looking for volunteers who can help plan and prep our food supply for those served through our community outreach food bank programming. Your support will help create safe food access for pet owners in your community.

Responsibilities:

  • Repackage and label food for distribution
  • Track food supplies going out and prepare for transport
  • Maintain cleanliness of the food area
  • Ensure that any damaged or expired pet food is removed
  • Coordinate with SPCA staff to understand weekly needs and priorities
  • Adhere to all BC SPCA policies

Skills required:

  • Ability to carry and handle bags of pet food up to 50lbs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well independently and on a team

Time Commitment:

  • At least two hours a week for 6 months
  • Shifts are available 7 days a week, but this may vary between branches.
