Volunteer opportunities available with various programs: City Watch, Speed Watch, Community Events and at our Front Counter
We care about our community. Under the umbrella of the Chilliwack RCMP, we offer the chance to be “an extra set of eyes and ears” for police services by conducting citizen patrols with our City Watch program. In teams of two or more, volunteers patrol designated areas for surveillance. Our Speed Watch volunteers set up speed reader signs at various locations, and record information to track infractions. We host an information table at many local community events that require well versed individuals to interact with the public and provide information about our services. Our Front Desk/Counter requires individuals with strong public relations and office skills to assist the general public as needed.

– A minimum of 16 years for the Speed Watch program and 18 years for the other positions

– Submit a driver’s abstract and maintain a clean driving record
– Must commit to volunteering a minimum of 8 hours a month for one year of service
– Successfully complete training

– Gain front line experience
– Make a difference in your community
