Chilliwack Community Services is currently recruiting volunteers to assist with their volunteer run Mountainview family place which takes place at the Sardis Library every Tuesday morning from 9:30-11am.
Family Places are fun, interactive community drop in programs for children 0-6 and their caregivers that promote community connectedness, parent/child attachment and optimal child development. Once a week volunteer opportunities are also available in Yarrow on Tuesday mornings or Greendale on Wednesday mornings.
Volunteer duties could include any of the following: helping with setting up toys and play stations, helping to prepare snacks, planning and assisting with craft activities, delivering circle times and most importantly – warmly welcoming families when they arrive and helping to make everyone feel welcome.
