Volunteer Position: Admin & Marketing Support
Location: Onsite in Abbotsford office
Time Commitment: 1–2 days per week, 3–4 hours per week
About ESEBC
The Centre for Epilepsy and Seizure Education in BC (ESEBC) fosters resilience and hope for British Columbians affected by epilepsy and seizures. Now in their 26th year, the Centre provides person-centred services that reduce stigma, enhance mental wellness, and empower individuals to advocate for themselves.
Overview:
We are seeking a friendly, organized volunteer to support our administrative and outreach efforts. This role involves connecting with community partners, agencies, and service providers to share information about ESEBC’s programs and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Make outreach phone calls to community contacts and organizations
- Follow up by email with resources, program information, and materials
- Provide light administrative support in the office (filing, data entry, organizing materials)
- Maintain accurate notes from outreach activities
Qualifications:
- Comfortable and confident speaking on the phone
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Organized, reliable, and able to work independently
- Basic computer skills (email, Word, simple data entry)
- Interest in community engagement and supporting people affected by epilepsy
