8th Annual Ride into History is on Saturday, July 25, 2020 | 11:00am-4:00pm

Ride into History is an awareness and fundraising event that believes that we all have the potential for our future, no matter what may have occurred in our past. The name was originally a play on the fact that we were starting our ride out of the Fort Langley Historic site and has morphed into what we do today. 2020 will mark our 8th year of running the event as “Ride into History”

This year the event supports Mission Community Services Society and Big Brothers, Big Sisters Langley, as our charities need help more than ever due to the pandemic. The event starts with breakfast at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, Langley. From there, participants ride through the Fraser Valley stopping at predetermined scenic spots, enjoy lunch, and return to the Mission Raceway.

We are looking for volunteers to help with registration, distributing lunch, cheerers, course marshals, and much more!

Volunteer Opportunities Include:

Start Line Volunteers

  • Help with the set-up of registration, direct participants to socially distant parking spots, help out answering FAQs, act as a course marshal to cheer the participants as they start, or help amongst other tasks.

Course Marshalls

  • In this position, you will help distribute lunch and refreshments, guide riders to parking areas at the predetermined scenic spot and cheer on the riders as they come, and handout door prizes!

Following the mandates imposed by the British Columbia Health Authority, additional Health & Safety rules/protocols have been added for the safety of all the volunteers, participants, and those involved. Personal protective equipment is encouraged and can be provided.
