The Operation Red Nose safe-ride home service begins on Nov. 29th this year and we are looking for volunteers to help us provide safe rides home to those in the Abbotsford and Mission communities. This service helps to keep unfit drivers off the road during the holiday season. Various volunteer positions are available both on the road and at the call centre headquarters, from drivers and navigators to phone operations, dispatchers, and social media assistants. Volunteering with Operation Red Nose is a great experience for students and individuals interested in public safety, law enforcement, or community leadership. Be a deer and volunteer!

Qualifications needed: Police Information Check and Vulnerable Sectors Check. Class 5 driver’s license is required for some roles.

Commitment required: Volunteer for one night or more! The nights of service are Nov. 29, 30, Dec. 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, 21, and 31. Volunteer shifts are from 9pm-3am.

Benefits to volunteer: Not only are you helping keep unfit drivers off the road during the holiday season, you also get a few other perks! All volunteers will be invited to our volunteer appreciation night at the end of January that includes dinner and prizing. Volunteers can also enjoy food and beverages provided by our generous sponsors on the nights that they volunteer.
