DESCRIPTION:POSITION\nRelay For Life Event Day Volunteers \n  \nWHY WE NEED YOU \n  \nRelay For Life Event Day Volunteers are an important part of the success of this event. Whether you will be helping with site set up/tear down\, greeting participants\, selling/decorating luminaries\, photography or tallying donations\, there is a volunteer position for you! \n  \nWHAT YOU’LL BE DOING  \n\nAttend a location during your agreed shift\nVariety of duties/tasks that could include:\n\nGreet and engage participants during registration and activities\nGeneral accounting\nSet up/tear down of tents\, tables/chairs\, banners\nWaste management\nSelling and/or decorating Luminaries\n\n\n\n  \nTO ENSURE YOUR SAFETY\, ALL PUBLIC HEALTH GUIDELINES AND RECOMMENDATIONS WILL BE OBSERVED  \n  \nWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR \n\nGreat energy and enthusiasm\nTeam-oriented and community-minded\nCommunicative and works well in public environments\nPassionate and eager to make a significant impact\nSome roles might require good physical health (i.e. lifting heavy weights)\n\n  \nWHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU \n\nA fun way to make a difference in your community/neighbourhood\nDirect connection to our mission\, vision and values\nPlay an important role in supporting\, remembering and honouring those we love who have received a cancer diagnosis\n\n  \nYOUR COMMITMENT  \n\nAvailability on day of the event – June 11th (once registered\, someone from the event committee will be in contact to confirm shift and role)\n\n\nShift commitment between 2-6 hours\n\n  \nWe welcome people of all backgrounds\, abilities and interests.
