Volunteers are needed to help with social activities provided to seniors in our assisted living location in Mission. Volunteers could provide one-on-one visits, reading, crafts, playing games and listening to residents’ stories and life experiences.

We also operate a new 12 passenger bus that takes seniors on trips in our community to events, entertainment locations, shopping and sightseeing. We like to have someone volunteer to escort the passengers along with our qualified bus drivers. They would provide some assistance around mobility and notify the driver of any emergency. Volunteers provide an important social connection for our seniors and contribute to quality of life.

Our activities are held every day of the week throughout the day in 1 – 2 hour time slots. Volunteers would work with our Social Coordinator and be able to help with activities and time slots that works for them.
Volunteers would be able to choose how many bus trips they participate in. Generally there are 2 – 3 trips per month. Scheduling and commitment are flexible and we appreciate any help offered.

No experience is required.

Our organization would fund the criminal record check required for volunteering with seniors.
